Polish Government has decided for all nurseries, kindergartens, schools and colleges to be closed for upto two weeks. This will allow for less exposure to contact with the virus. Although short walks close to home are recommended! This can be an opportunity to spend some quality time with your children on creative games and activities.
But what exactly can you do? Here are some suggestions for spending time with your kids:
Home cinema
The cinemas are closed, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t have a unique movie screening. An interesting idea might be a mini movie marathon: Harry Potter, Star Wars, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings (or other titles suited to the age of the children). Throw blankets on the flor, prepare your favorite themed or other healthy snacks, turn off the lights and let the adventures on the TV screen (even better if you have a projector and a screen on the wall) devour the whole family for some time and take away from thoughts about all viruses and diseases.
Arts and crafts
There is nothing like a little stimulation of kids creativity. So find an old sheet, carton box, or a simple piece of paper. Pull out your paints and let your imagination run wild? Who knows, maybe the work you and your kids create will hang on the wall as a great souvenir? – check out this video for ideas:

Home lab
Just because schools are closed does not mean that you can no longer educate your child. You can turn learning into play and participate in it with them. Prepare a board game, make some of the fields in the game be a task that you or your child will have to solve. Whoever finish first win a treat. Wspólne gotowanie
Going out should be kept to a minimum, which means that going to restaurants should not be an option either. But it’s a chance to prepare something with your children. Even smaller kids may be involved. Be a chef and make your kid a sous chef. They can serve, mix the ingredients or help you wash the dishes after you eat. Play the music and have a culinary party! – maybe this is an idea to follow?
