Sport

Thanks to its diverse terrain, the Pomeranian Region is the ideal spot for all sports fans. As the summer capital of Poland, the region is known for offering a multitude of water activities, such as sailing, kite-surfing, windsurfing and swimming. Which sports are worth taking up here?

Cycling

Did you know that Gdańsk was hailed as the bicycle capital of Poland? Sopot and Gdynia also care about their cyclists and some 2,000 km of cycling lanes have already been built across the region. This is why bicycles are a popular choice not only for weekend bike trips across Żuławy or the Kashubia, but also for the daily commute to work.

Rollerblading

The Tri-City prepared two tracks specially designed for skating fast (in Gdańsk and Sopot), there are also numerous skate parks, night skating events, as well as regular workshops.

Kayaking

There are over 3,000 km of waterways passable by kayak, most of which are marked and equipped with a kayaking infrastructure.

Horse riding

In the forest, on the beach, by a river or a lake? Pick your favorite type of terrain and hit the trail! Studs can be found in the Tri-City, as well as in small towns and villages across the region.

Skiing

It is a little-known fact that in our region, you can also do skiing but not only on water! There are ski lifts i.e. in Sopot (Łysa Góra) or Wieżyca (Koszałkowo).

Golfing

Two of the Pomeranian full-scale, masterclass golf courses - Sierra Golf Club and Postołowo Golf Cub - are listed among the top 100 golf courses in the world! Apart from that, there are many mini-golf or even FootGolf courses across the region, set against the backdrop of the Kashubian hills and forests.

Kite-surfing and windsurfing

The Hel Peninsula and the Bay of Puck are a mecca for surfers. The wind on the Baltic Sea is just right there (up to 30 km/h), the water is not too salty and the sea bed is clean and sandy. The best conditions for surfing are between May and September.
