Real Property in Gdansk Offers a Chance for Independence

Gdansk attracts people thanks to an interesting entertainment and cultural offer, while its beautiful architecture and proximity to the sea create excellent conditions for walks and recreation. Considering the city’s numerous merits, moving here is definitely a good idea. But what else makes more and more people to take the decision and  buy their first apartment in Gdansk?

The Best Locations in the City

There is a residential district in Gdansk which will measure up to everyone’s expectations.

Przymorze, with its large Reagan’s Park, and the neighbouring Brzezno offer a variety of ways to spend your free time. Lovers of nature and recreation won’t regret choosing other seaside districts, such as Nowy Port, Stogi, Krakowiec-Gorki Zachodnie and Wyspa Sobieszewska. There’s nothing like the sound of the waves and a picturesque sunset on a beach after a hard day at work. Despite that it’s not in direct vicinity of the sea, Oliwa is also perfect for recreation. Vast green areas, the Oliwa Park, natural and cultural monuments, museums – all of this is within reach, just outside the central business district.

Wrzeszcz is one of the more interesting districts in Gdansk. It’s a great location, especially if we consider its excellent public transport, various parks, as well as the cultural and commercial offer. What is more, you will find the whole spectrum of housing types there, ranging from tenements and pre-war villas, through blocks, to modern residential estates. If you want to cut yourself off from the hustle of the city, you can choose Matarnia, a district with a good shopping and service base, which is also well connected with the other parts of the city. Matarnia, alongside the neighbouring Kokoszki and Jesien, are also places where modern suburban estates are being built. However, you will be able to get from older districts, such as Siedlce or Suchanino, to the city centre quickly as well.

The young enjoy the so-called “southern districts of Gdansk” – Piecki-Migowo (popularly called Morena), Chelm, Lostowice and Ujescisko as these areas undergo intensive development and, together with Srodmiescie,  create neighbourhoods were the most of the modern residential estates are being constructed. That’s why, when planning to buy an apartment or house, it is possible to choose between the city centre and the quieter suburbs.
