With an increasing demand for skilled IT employees and the constant development of new technologies, this group presents the greatest challenge. Java, JavaScript as well as C/C++ developers can pick among work offers with junior-level salaries starting at 5500 PLN gross. Experienced developers and team leaders can even earn up to 20 000 PLN gross. Many of them choose to work on a B2B basis instead of the traditional employment agreement.

IT Desk-Service Team Leaders can earn 10 000 PLN gross whereas those responsible for security in industries as banking or finance will easily make up to 20 000 PLN  gross.

The position of an HR Business Partner, which was relatively unknown a decade ago, has become an important position in the structure of big organisations. An experienced HR Business Partner needs a variety of skills to create what we call ‘great employee experience’, to attract top talents, as well as help companies, implement modern management practices. That is why this position is well paid with salaries averaging from 12 000 PLN to 18 000 PLN gross. Junior or payroll positions in HR are a bit lower on the scale. An average for a Recruitment or Payroll Specialist is about 4500 PLN gross and an experienced Payroll Director can reach receive up to 10 000 PLN gross.

When it comes to accounting the junior level positions usually start at 3500 PLN gross however a lot depends on the skills of the person. For example those speaking foreign languages, especially the less popular ones can negotiate higher salaries. An experienced GL Accountant will make anything from 6000 PLN to 12 000 PLN gross depending on the size of the company and level of responsibility. Similarly Financial Directors and qualified Financial Controllers start at 10 000 PLN but can easily reach 20 000 PLN gross in larger organisations.

Benefits

Salaries are not everything, Poles pay a lot of attention to the perks, benefits and the overall working conditions. Private healthcare is very popular, Multisport cards partly sponsored by the companies are also very popular as they allow free or discounted accesses to sports clubs and gympopulars.

Other benefits include sponsored trainings, sponsored attendance to conferences, educational budgets and other career growth opportunities.

Job Ads

A lot of investors and international HR professionals ask if it is customary to mention salary ranges in the job ad. There are no set rules, but it is slowly becoming a norm for companies, especially in the IT sector to share salary ranges in the job ads.

It is required to mention salary ranges while advertising on third-party platforms like Facebook, Just Join IT, Kiwi jobs and others. But mostly only for the IT sector or jobs that require less technical skills in retail, client servicing or others. If you are in doubt, check out what the competition is doing for inspiration.

The thing to note for employers and employees is that these salary ranges are just indicative of the current market scenario. The final salary depends on the organisation and on the skillsets that you bring to the organisation.
