Juwenalia
Who doesn’t like outdoor parties with shows of the biggest stars of Polish and international music scene? Thanks to its diverse selection of bands, Juwenalia is a venue, which attracts not only students, but people in every age! This year, on May 11th in Gdansk, artists who will perform among others are: Bass Astral x Igo – one of the most wanted electronic music makers on festivals, Krzysztof Zalewski, Lady Pank, Nocny Kochanek, Tede, Rosalie, KAMP!, Pawbeats Orchestra, and Ten Typ Mes. Everybody will find something for themselves!
Gdansk Music Festival
Gdansk Music Festival will take place from 18 to 25 May. It is very crucial event for all fans of classical music. Some biggest artists will perform during this festival, e.g. from France, Spain, Holland, Bydgoszcz, and of course Gdansk. People will hear Fryderyk Chopin’s pieces and compositions of Karol Lipinski, Ignacy Feliks Dobrzynski, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Karol Szymanski and Grazyna Bacewicz. Tickets for the concerts at Polish Baltic Philharmonic will be available to buy, but admittance to other concerts will be free.
Racing for Marina Gdansk Cup
Racing struggles of ambitious sailors from around the world will take place from 8 to 9 June. The event will be attended by Polish, German, Swedish, and Russian representatives. Racing for Marina Gdansk Cup has been attracting fans of sailing for 13 years now. Viewers will be able to watch racing from the pier and the beach in Brzezno.
Outdoor activities: Family Picnic - Big Neighborhood Barbecue
Family Picnic – Big Neighborhood Barbecue – is a cyclical event, which will take place on 2. June at Stadion Lesny in Sopot. There will be 15 different thematic attractions waiting for the participants. At that time, there will be special zones in the stadium – sport zone , healthzone, entertainment and gastronomic one. Everyone will find something for themselves, which is why it is worth to already now include this event in your plans! Organizers took care of many attractions, such as bonfire, live music, food trucks, barbecue, pole jumping competitions, athletics village, floorball, badminton, volleyball, basketball, big inflatable slide, trampoline, obstacle course, parkour shows, and shooting range. Good fun guaranteed!
Long Night of Museums 2019
This years’ Long Night of Museums in Tri-City will take place at night from 18. to 19. May. All interested will get the chance to see galleries, museums, and other cultural institutions. What is important is that admittance to museums will be either free or there will be a small charge. Organizers will prepare special attractions and open places, which are not open to the public on a daily basis. It is a special event, which takes place every year, so save this date!
