There is always something happening in the Tricity and as someone who has just started living here, it is important for you to be in the know so that you can get out, meet people, enjoy the Tricity to the fullest and start feeling at home right away.
City websites
Although Gdańsk, Sopot, and Gdynia from the Tricity, they are individual cities by themselves and very different from each other. Each city has its own dedicated website rich in information about what’s happening in the city, places to see, where to eat, and where to hang out.
Gdańsk
A thousand-year history, a location at the crossroads of important commercial and communication routes, an extensive port and mercantile traditions – all this makes Gdańsk a meeting place of many cultures, nationalities, and denominations.
Sopot
This studio is run by an amazing lady who has learned and practiced yoga in India. She is multilingual and the cozy atmosphere allows you to relax and rejuvenate.
Gdynia
From its humble beginnings as a fishing village, built to become an important port in the 1920s, today, Gdynia is one of the most modern cities in Poland with thriving port, modern shopping centers, public spaces, museums, and perhaps some of the best food in the Tricity! In 2013 it was ranked as Poland’s best city to live in and topped the rankings in the category of the general quality of life.

If you are someone who always loves to be in the know then this section is for you! The Tricity (aside from the city websites mentioned above), has a few portals that are regularly updated with the latest news, events, jobs and other information. Some of the more prominent ones are mentioned below:
Tricity News :The portal is an important point of information about what’s happening locally, where are the best places to be at and eat. Most importantly, it is completely in English!
Trojmiasto:
Same as Tricity news, but older and in Polish, the biggest online information portal covering everything that’s going on in the Tricity metropolitan area – from culture to business, from trivia to politics. The portal also has rent and sell section for apartments and properties.
Streetwise:
This is the website you go to, to find the best in your city. Streetwise covers food, urban exploring and events. This website is also in English and curated by locals, so you are sure to find good recommendations.
Live More Pomerania
– An initiative by Invest in Pomerania, covering the best of the Pomorskie province. We have a lot of information about the latest events, places to go, where to study etc.. We believe that Pomerania is THE place to live, study and work in!
Expats Poland
– A website that talks about Polish life and culture through the eyes of foreigners and has some interesting stories and important information.
Social media groups

Expats in Tricity: This is a great group to be a part of as they organize regular meetups in English.
New friends: This is another great meetup group where you get to meet loads of new people and do interesting stuff.
LinkedIn Local: Is the local chapter of the global LinkedIn Local initiative. The organizers meet once a quarter. The event is characterized by good speakers and networking. The event is primarily in Polish, but the networking, of course, is in multiple languages
Lean In Poland: A local chapter of the world-renowned Lean In foundation started by Sheryl Sandberg.
CWII: Immigrant Support Center is a place to go if you need advice on legalizing your stay and employment, career, or legal guidance. They also organize Polish language courses and a variety of workshops.
