Scholarships

Each university offers financial support for its students in the form of scholarships:

  • Financial aid - dependent on the monthly net income per family member;
  • Financial aid for disabled students - dependent on the degree of disability; having an up-to-date disability degree certificate is required;
  • Rector’s Scholarship for the best students - a yearly scholarship granted on the basis of the ranking of students for each faculty. The student has to meet one of the following criteria: high average, outstanding academic, sports or artistic achievement;
  • Hardship benefits - granted in the case of unusual circumstances due to which a student is experiencing financial hardship for ill-fated reasons.

The best students can also receive awards granted by officials of the Pomeranian Region, such as:

  • Ministry of Science and Higher Education Scholarship - granted for outstanding achievements that are highly significant or exceptionally innovative;
  • Marshal of the Pomeranian Region’s Scholarship - the criteria are: high average, outstanding accomplishments in science or arts, as well as a declaration of residence in the Pomeranian Region;
  • Mayor of the City of Gdańsk’s Scholarship - granted to the inhabitants of Gdańsk with a permanent residence for no less than 3 years, who study full-time at one of the universities in the Tri-City and can present achievements or exemplary work;
  • Mayor of the City of Sopot’s Scholarship - for school and university students demonstrating outstanding academic performance, as well as having sports or artistic achievements. Permanent residents of Sopot, as well as international students of Polish origin who study in the Tri-City are entitled to the scholarship;
  • Mayor of the City of Gdynia’s Scholarship - for school and university students demonstrating outstanding academic performance, as well as having sports or artistic achievements. Permanent residents of Gdynia, as well as Eastern adolescent students of Polish origin who go to school or university in the Tri-City are entitled to the scholarship;
