Back office

Business process outsourcing – subcontracting a particular part of a company’s activity to outside companies, usually tasks such as finance, accounting, recruitment, but also programming, testing and marketing.
CEO/CFO/COO

CEO (chief executive officer) is the equivalent of director general, CFO (chief financial officer) is the head of finance and COO (chief operating officer) is an executive responsible for supervising the daily operations and processes in the company
Core competency

The main advantage of a company which allows it to grow. It is supposed to be difficult for other businesses to copy – the ones that are already on the market, as well as the budding ones. It also applies to individuals
Crunch time/crunch mode

The time when a deadline is coming up or a stage of a project is about to be completed and you have to speed up your work. Crunch mode is when an employee is in a prolonged state of trans (especially in the IT industry), which usually means working overtime.
Deadline

A final date that cannot be passed.
End-to-end

From start to finish; it means that a service or a procedure includes all aspects of a certain reality, for example, from choosing a product in an online shop to delivering it to the customer.
EOD

Abbreviation for “end of the day” used in email correspondence, which means that a certain task has to be finished by the end of the day
Fakap (fuck-up)

A synonym for failure in corporate slang.
